unearthing the inner yogi

“Last July I attended my first Yoga course. Abhay was my teacher and he was able to make me fall in love with this discipline! He is well-qualified and stimulating.”

S.F., Researcher, Italy.

“Abhay is a knowledgeable, instrumental, and caring instructor. I love his style and the information that he provides students about yoga as a practice. I have very much appreciated working with him.”

A.S., Clinical Psychologist, Berkeley.

“Abhay is a gem, a truly amazing teacher! Studying yoga for about 7 years, I’ve dabbled in various so-called yoga classes, which have all left me feeling less than satisfied, most likely because they tend to focus on the physical benefit of yoga. Abhay’s lessons however focus on reconciling the mind and body, which brings about a certain joy. He doesn’t follow a specific model, like Hatha or Ashtanga, but rather blurs the distinction between the categories of yoga to create a more integrative, gratifying experience.”

 T.M., Student, Berkeley.

“Abhay is one of very few people that teaches authentic yoga in the US, without turning it into a pilates/cardio workshop. He possesses the deepest knowledge of the subject and is truly great at teaching it. Whether you are a novice or an advanced student with years of training I am positive that you will benefit tremendously from studying with Abhay and I wholeheartedly recommend him.”

E.F., Business Analyst, San Francisco.

Abhay Ghiara is a life-long yoga practitioner who studied yoga and yoga philosophy at the Aurobindo Ashram and Bombay University. He now lives in Berkeley, California and teaches yoga to a wide range of students.
